While the story isn't deep, it certainly is engrossing. It is as long as you want it to be with a seemingly infinite amount of side quests and activities.
Skills: Since it is a game built to be different for each person, you can play the game in any way you want. There are many skills to hone: smithing exotic weapons, enchanting them with souls, brewing deadly poisons, picking any lock, sneaking, pickpocketing, archery, destruction magic, restoration magic, light and heavy armors, one and two handed weapons, and the art of speech are all skills with their own perks.
While the prospect of learning the benefits of so many different skills and which ones to invest in may seem daunting, the game eases you into it perfectly and doesn't tell you to pick a class and commit to it throughout the game.
I tried playing as a mage, heavy warrior, light warrior, and eventually settled on an archer. I have even heard of some people playing as pacifists.
The game lets you pick your own fighting style and never punishes you for changing it. World: The world of Skyrim is vast and beautiful.
With over separate locations in Skyrim and the vast Island of Solsthiem to the north, you can spend hours just exploring the land on horseback.
I know I did. There are also many dungeons to explore, each one unique and filled with treasure. There are literally hundreds of special weapons and artifacts to find and collect and craft.
The world of this game is truly immersive, with breathtaking landscapes and a plethora of different enemies to kill. Be warned: once you enter Skyrim, you may find it hard to leave.
I could go on for pages about this game and I'm sure I left something out. But basically, Skyrim is more than just a game: it is a feat.

I'm basing my review of the game purely on the fact that she won't stop playing it, not the fact that I haven't gotten laid since before it arrived.
I won't review the core game or DLCs since many other websites have done that already. Instead, I'll review the core differences between the original release and this Special Edition version.
So I've been playing Skyrim on my PS3 since and play it to this day. It's a fun game with many gameplay options and plenty to explore and experience.
However, on PS3, once my save hit around 9,KB around level 30 to 40 , the performance of the game always dropped significantly. Screentear increased, frame rates dropped, and crashes occurred more frequently.
Combined with the 10 to 30 second loading screens and the game was playable but not without irritation. And thus came the Special Edition on PS4. This edition saw tweaks in lighting effects, rain occlusion rain behaves more realistically , some water effects, and a jump from bit to bit, making the game accessible for mods.
While mods are great, I never had an interest in them, which brings me to my two main reasons for purchasing this edition: increased performance and DLC.
The performance is greatly enhanced, with the longest loadtimes I experience being 3 seconds max, usually less. To get increased performance and the whole Skyrim package for a little over the price of one DLC pack, I was sold.
I love Skyrim and intend to play it for years to come, and thanks to this edition, maybe I'll finally reach level 81 or higher with a character without running into performance issues.
Oh, and another little thing that I hated on the PS3 version that got remedied in this edition: multiple character profiles. Previously, you could only have on character profile on PS3 per user.
So, if you wanted to swap to other characters without deleting them, you had to make a new user for each character. While not terrible, it was very inconvenient because you had to exit the game, swap your user, let the game boot back up, and jump back in, which could take around minutes.
New to the Special Edition is the option to save multiple character profiles to one user, allowing you in the load screen to select your character's name and directly load the file without having to switch users.
I can't express how happy I am to finally make new builds without dumping an old character! So, overall, if you want a performance upgrade or missed out on the original DLC releases, then this is for you.
Otherwise, there is no new content in this game and only some of the graphics have been cleaned up.
Mods on consoles never interested me, but I will update if I dabble with them in the coming months. It's my impression that console mods are much more limited and you can only download up to 5GB of mods at a time.
That, and you can't create any on the PS4 console; all the mods are pulled from the PC version, so really it just gives a basic experience of how the modding communities work.

The only reason I bought the PS4 copy was for collection purposes. For vanilla players those who don't play mods who doesn't play games on PC, this is still a completely viable option to play the game.
The game also comes with a map inside the case. There is a limited selection of mods you can play on the PS4 version. If modding is important to you, then I would strongly playing on the PC instead.
I've played Skyrim V on PS3 and it had it's share of glitches. I thought the PS 4 addition would have fixed most of these problems.
What I found early in the game is more and new glitches. The improved graphics and mods do add a new dimension to the game. I would have given it more stars if not for the glitches.
